NEWGATE BARRIER

Unipart Rail and Newgate are working in partnership to allow Newgate barriers to be installed on any 24V scheme to offer a significant reduction in operational and maintenance costs. Applicable for life extension or new installations. Newgate’s electromechanical barriers are engineered for extended maintenance cycles, requiring 2 and 5 yearly inspections.
TRACKPAN
Designed and engineered to protect the environment from contamination caused by spillage and leaks on the rail network
The TrackPan system from Unipart Rail is considered the best available technology, offering protection from spills by collecting fluids and substances and then transferring them to a proper waste treatment system. TrackPan provides an inexpensive and flexible alternative to traditional steel and concrete applications.
Hollow sleepers provide protection against accidental damage to cross track cables and the associated costs of reinstatement, and now offer the most cost effective UTX (under track crossing) solution. They are generally supplied with fittings in place, which can then be removed to allow existing cabling to be “gathered” into the sleeper. Sleepers are also supplied with the required fastenings. We can also devise bespoke solutions for local requirements.
The Trackwork Lateral Resistance Plates are fitted to sleepers or bearers to enhance lateral resistance to thermal and traffic forces. Typical usage when using Continuously Welded Rail (CWR) is on curves below 400m radius and within shorter switches.
