Construction, Maintenance & Renewals
Rail networks around the globe are facing challenges delivering world-class services whilst managing the challenges of aging infrastructure. We have recognised these challenges and are committed to providing machines, attachments and equipment that overcome restrictions, optimise costs, and minimise the complexity of Construction, Maintenance and Renewals projects.
We are working in partnership with Thomson Engineering Design Ltd to offer innovative machines and attachments for global railway construction, maintenance and renewal projects.
The extensive range of innovative solutions is designed to improve performance and productivity by ensuring quality, reliability and safety, helping to meet the current challenges of global rail networks.
Visit us at stand G9 to see some of our solutions and learn about the full range.
Alongside Racine Railroad Products UK, we are introducing a range of groundbreaking new battery powered tools for the maintenance and enhancement of the rail infrastructure.
The product range provides an innovative and sustainable approach to operations by reducing the reliance on traditional power sources.
We'll have some of these tools with us at Rail Live. Stop by stand G9 for a chat with our experts.
The Gripple SwiftLine Rail Dropper has the power to maintain overhead lines faster, more safely and more effectively than ever before.
The Network Rail approved, tool free solution, is up to 8 times faster to install than traditional droppers, resulting in reduced downtime, improved safety and substantial cost savings.
You can see the Gripple SwiftLine Rail Dropper with live demonstrations at Rail Live.
tCat ‘OLE Mobile Mapping’ provides simple, precise real-time measurement of geometric parameters within a railway environment.
It provides LIDAR and camera technology to survey Overhead Line and track clearances, obtaining precise real-time measurements. It also has a foldable design for ease of transport.
Visit us on stand G9 to see the tCat in situ on a track panel.
FuelActive Pick-Up Unit
FuelActive is a unique method of delivering 92% cleaner diesel to the engine, reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by 5%.
Standard diesel engines and storage units draw fuel from the bottom of the fuel tank, but the unique and patented fuel pick-up system ensures that only clean fuel enters the fuel lines eliminating the costly effects of fuel consumption.
Visit us on stand G9 to see the FuelActive pick-up unit in action.
Train Approaching Warning System (TAWS)
TAWS is a cutting-edge product designed to provide timely alerts to rail workers about approaching trains, ensuring their safety in high-risk environments.
With advanced sensors and real-time monitoring capabilities, TAWS detects train movements well in advance, issuing audible and visual warnings to alert workers of an approaching train.
We'll have a TAWS unit with us on stand G9 so stop by for a demo.
We specialise in the design and manufacture of top-of-the-line level crossings, barrier boom lights, and wig wags.
The LX PLUS Solution delivers pretested and plug-coupled material direct to installation sites. This is complemented by our LED Barrier Boom Lights, which are fitted on Level Crossing barriers and gates to clearly indicate to vehicles and pedestrians that the crossing is closed.
The Wig Wag Road Traffic Light is a simple to install, ‘plug and play’ unit with all wiring already installed and tested, removing all requirements for working at height.
You can see a demonstration of the full Level Crossing and Wig Wag system on our stand at Rail Live.
We offer specialised 24v and 110v Mk3 anti phantom modules that redefine standards in railway signalling.
The Mk3 anti phantom modules are designed with the latest advances in rail technology and provide unparalleled safety by effectively detecting and neutralising phantom signals.
Compatible with existing rail signalling systems as they can be supplied as part of the iLS range or retrofitted into the classic housings, the Mk3 module seamlessly integrates into your infrastructure without costly upgrades or disruptions.
Visit us on stand G9 at Rail Live to see our mounted iLS signals and Mk3 modules, and to chat to our experts.
Digital Block Controller
Allows a section of single line railway to be controlled with no need for end to end cabling or on-board equipment.
Optical Data Link Module
Retains all electrical Trackside Data Link (TDL) and current loop connections provided on a DLM.
National Request to Stop
Allows passengers to request a train to stop via a platform kiosk system, improving passenger experience.
Digital In-cab Signalling
A Network Rail approved digital signalling solution for light to medium traffic density routes.
Condition Based Monitoring
Predictive maintenance and remote monitoring solutions for real-time insights into asset health and performance.
The Network Rail approved Digital Block Controller (DiBloC) allows a section of single line railway to be controlled without the need for end to end cabling or on-board equipment.
The DiBloC system is designed to function in a similar manner to conventional key token instruments.
Machines are configured according to customer requirements in groups of between two and six instruments, with communication via Ethernet using public internet/GSM or private systems such as Network Rail’s Fixed Telecom Network (FTN) system.
Visit stand G9 to see the DiBloC and chat to our experts.
The Optical Data Link Module (ODLM) retains all electrical Trackside Data Link (TDL) and current loop connections provided on a DLM, using a 50-way connector.
Data is sampled at 4.5 MHz, Manchester encoded, and sent in alternate bits between adjacent ODLMs, providing clock synchronisation and error detection functionality.
The ODLM can connect up to 63 modules in a bus configuration before needing a repeater, communicating over distances up to 13km.
National Request to Stop technology enables passengers to request a train to stop via a platform kiosk system rather than manually flagging down
services using hand signals.
Our digital request to stop solutions provide safety, route efficiency and passenger experience improvements on rural and low-density rail routes. Removing the need for a train to slow down and then accelerate where there are no passengers waiting, delivers significant fuel consumption, emissions and brake wear benefits.
Visit stand G9 to see a demonstration and chat to our experts.
